Question by Pillbox: Fairtex Hotel in Pattaya?
I would like to stay for a week and take advantage off all of the different sport activities available. I understand there is a package deal where you can stay in one of the cheaper rooms and take Muay Thai, Yoga, Climbing, etc. lessons (all inclusive) for around 2500 baht a night. Should I reserve this package through the hotel itself or try to find a cheaper rate? Sometimes when I book rooms through a third party I learn later when I get to the hotel that various things are not included (and cost me more in the long run). I am excited about enjoying their world class facility but still want a bargain. What do you think?
I am not interested in opinions about value. I am hoping to get a response from someone who has stayed in this very popular hotel who may have booked through a third party.
How about reading the question before answering?
Thanks to anyone who can understand and respond accordingly.
Difficult to understand?
The Fairtex Hotel in Pattaya offers various classes in Yoga, Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, Climbing Etc. The Faitex Hotel has the best sports facilities of any hotel in Asia. These classes are not free to public or guests but are paid ala carte or can be used as part of a package. This package can be purchased at the hotel for about 2500 baht. I am wondering if anyone has stayed at this hotel and successfully purchased the athletic package through a third party ( asiarooms.com etc) -thereby saving money. I am not asking if anyone thinks 2500 baht is a good deal!!!!!!

2500 baht per night is about $ 85 Australian. You can decide for yourself if the accommodation, food and activities are worth it.

There is nothing wrong with the first answer, when you can get a decent hotel in Pattaya with air, hot water, TV, private bathroom for under 1000 baht a night the extras you are paying for at the Fairtex are for those “sports activities!” Only YOU can decide if the additional price is worth it! You don’t mention when you will be in Pattaya, if it is during low season you can easily get a cheap hotel for one night and then IN PERSON take a cheap 10 baht baht bus to this place and see personally if this is what you expect!
Location of this hotel is okay, short walk to a couple good malls, not far from the bus station. Easy access to cheap transportation by baht bus. Supermarket on corner, restaurants nearby. After all you won’t be playing Tarzan or Bruce Lee 24 hours a day, knowing what is available in the area can be helpful.
